Annie Marie Rice

Annie Marie Rice, 73, of Kensett, departed this life December 18, 2011. She was born January 7, 1938 in Brinkley, the daughter of the late Eunice Wilson and Alberta Summerville Holloway. She worked at the Arkansas State Unemployment Office through AARP and volunteered with Jacob's Place, a local community organization.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Calvan Rice; and one brother, Charles E. Summerville Jr.
She is survived by her five children, Tommy Colbert Jr., Christopher Rice, Evelyn Austin Gary, Theresa Marie Rice, and Carmen Michelle Rayford; eight grandchildren, James H. Gary, Christy Leuwellan, Stacy Toney, Rickeia Corbin, India Rice, Devon Amerson, Carl Rice, and Christopher Rice, Jr.; six great grandchildren, Cornell Montgomery, Cameron Mongomery, British Corbin, Calvin Colbert, Courtney Colbert, and Micko Burns; as well as a special friend, and the sister Annie never had, Betty Ann Foster.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 24, at the Kensett Church of God, 409 SE 2nd Street.
Interment will follow at Haven Rest Cemetery in Brinkley Arkansas.
