Annie Mae Rocka

November 6, 1923 — January 19, 2018

Annie Mae Rocka, 94, of Searcy passed away Friday, January 19th at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born November 6, 1923 in Hortense, Texas.

Annie Mae was a member of Pickens Chapel Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid reader. She loved books, magazines, and anything of interest to her. She enjoyed doing Bible study lessons, playing cards and dominoes. Together Annie Mae and her husband owned and worked a Grade A dairy. Afterwards she helped her husband out in their steel fabrication shop. She was always by his side. She loved gardening and there was always room at her table for one more. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, J.T. (John) Rocka Jr. (Mary) of Dennison, Texas and Tommy Rocka (Sharla) of Winnsboro, Texas; two daughters, Patsy Andrews of College Station, Texas and Opal Barker (Larry) of Searcy, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, Bonnie Reed, Tina Carter, Angie Galindo, Byron Baker, Chris Weir, Robbye Schroeder, Jeffery Barker, Tammy Rogers, Katherine Barker, Lisa Mathis, Joshua Rocka, and Aubrey Rocka; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, J.T. Rocka; her, mother, Rosa Clamon and three siblings.
