Bertha Green

Bertha L. Green, formerly of Peoria, passed peacefully at her home in Judsonia, Arkansas, on April 21, 2013.
She was born April 20, 1931 in Strasburg, IL, to Harry and Bessie Thomas. Surviving are her husband Thomas and son, James Blythe, five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Donald, Alice, and Oscar, all of Strasburg.
Bertha was a waitress in E. Peoria for many years. She met her husband, Thomas, while working in the cafeteria at Caterpillar. After Caterpillar, the couple managed Peoria area apartment complexes for over fifteen years. Bertha was an avid crafter and often shared projects with family and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled at the Bunker Hill Church of God, Buda, Il, Sunday, April 28th at 4:00 pm.
