Betty Jo Kitts

Betty Jo Kitts, 85, of Searcy, passed away, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at home. She was born March 10, 1938 in Pampa, Texas. She attended Temple Baptist Church and was very active in the women’s ministry as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed crafting and decorating and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Crawford Kitts; son, Dale Brightup and wife Sandi; daughter, Donna Bridges and husband Troy; step-children, Lynn Kitts and wife Monica; Jerry Kitts and wife Ruth and Karen Robertson and husband Maurice; sister, Sarah Anderson and husband Steven; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Brightup;  parents, Calvin and Olive Pendley; grandson, William David Kitts and two brothers.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023 the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Temple Baptist Church, 700 W. Moore Avenue, Searcy, AR 72143. A memorial service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
