Betty June Lyons

June 7, 1943 — June 5, 2022

Betty June Lyons, 78, of McRae went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully, Sunday, June 5th surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 7, 1943, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Carrel Sr. and Lody (Campbell) Bennett.

Betty was a faithful member of Searcy Pentecostal Church of God. She loved canning and gardening and even enjoyed the occasional fishing trip. Betty treasured her children and cherished all her grandchildren. She always looked forward to family gatherings, especially on her birthday. She was a loving mother who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, five sons, Joe Lyons Jr. of Rogers, Roger Lyons of Beebe, David Lyons (Nina) of McRae, Jerry Lyons (Pattie) of Searcy, and Billy Lyons of Bald Knob; two daughters, Rose McCullough (Jeff) of McRae and Carolyn Hall (Edward) of Richmond, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carrel Bennett Jr. of Letona, Dewey Bennett of Kensett, and Charles Bennett of Wisconsin; and two sisters, Barbara Sue Brewer of Texas and Barbara Ann Brewer of Mayflower.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nathan Lyons Sr., and one daughter, Betty Jo Price.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 9th at Searcy Pentecostal Church of God with burial following at Pickens Chapel Cemetery.

All Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
