Betty Jo Rodgers

Betty Jo Rodgers, age 74 of Searcy, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009. Betty was born in Step Rock, AR. on October 14, 1934 to the late John W. Pickens and Blanche Mae Woods Pickens. She was a homemaker and a member of Judsonia Church of Christ. Cooking, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren were always the enjoyment of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of fifty-three years, Glenn O'Neal Rodgers; infant son, Jimmy Neal Rodgers and one infant daughter; two brothers, James and Jerry Pickens; three sisters, Earnestine Pickens, Wensil Goodwin and Dorothy L. Hunt.

She is survived by one daughter, Lanell England and her husband Eldon of Searcy; one brother, Johnny Ray Pickens of Bald Knob; one sister, Verneil Feagin of Searcy; grandchildren, Kari Chapman and husband Blake, Kellie Darnell and husband Nick, all of Searcy; great-grandchildren, Gabe and Keaton Chapman, Emma E. Shirley-Darnell and England Elise Darnell.
Also, many loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 6, 2009 at Searcy McEuen funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2009, with John Kachelman officiating at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the White County Memorial Gardens.
