Beverly Gwynell Skinner, 88, of Searcy, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was born June 18, 1934 in Big Flat, Arkansas to the late Bill and Grace (Sterling) Butler.

Beverly was raised in Judsonia where she attended school. She played basketball and was a member of the Judsonia High School team that won the State Tournament. Beverly was an avid reader, an artist who enjoyed oil painting weekly with her girlfriends, and loved going to dances at the Senior Citizen’s Center where she was named Valentine Sweetheart. She was also a long-time member of the Trinity Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was famously known for her yeast rolls.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Edwards (Joe), Melody Scott (Keith) and Nancy Rouse (Alvin); grandchildren, Matt Edwards (Grace), Brett Edwards (Julian), Megan Selman (Chad) and Spencer Scott (Corey); great-grandchildren, Luke Edwards, Corinne Edwards, Dylan Edwards, Kate Selman, Hank Selman, and Ty Selman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Truman Eugene Skinner; her parents, and a sister, Patricia Gail Tomlinson.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Searcy McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is private in the Evergreen Cemetery.
