Billy D. Allen

Billy Drew Allen, age 87, of Searcy, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007. He was born October 11, 1919 in Cisco, Texas to the late William and Pearl Harvell Allen. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Country Valley Christian Church, a member of the DAV and VFW. He served in the U.S. Army Corps and was a WWII veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Jean Allen of Searcy; a son, David Allen and wife Barbara of Searcy; two daughters, Judy Covington and husband Eddie of Searcy and Shirley Ann Johnson of Clarkston, Washington, a Step daughter, Glenna Barlow of Mayflower, AR; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchidlren; and several Step Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 9th, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Searcy-McEuen Chapel with interment at White County Memorial Gardens.
