Billy Joe Huntsman

B. J. Huntsman, 85 of Searcy, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at White County Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1928 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Harry Huntsman and Mildred Saunders Huntsman.

He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and in his younger years, he kept hunting dogs. Mr. Huntsman also enjoyed playing guitar for a local band. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Freida Huntsman of the home; one son, Rick Huntsman of Searcy; one daughter, Patricia Huntsman and husband Tom Calkins of Texas; three brothers, Harry Wayne Huntsman of California, J.C. Huntsman of Missouri, and Jerry Huntsman of Searcy; four sisters, Velma Lee Fleming of Texas, Marie Bland of Arkansas, Jane Walton of Texas, and Sandra Miller of Arkansas; brother and sister in-law, Wayne and Betty Martin of Georgia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Ray Huntsman.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, August 17th from 11am -2pm at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gum Springs Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
