Blanche Marie Lawson, 78, passed away peacefully at home with her family and her beloved fur baby, Marley by her side Saturday, March 12th. She was born October 20, 1943, in Garner, Arkansas to the late Milton and Mae (Ashworth) Sloan.
Blanche was a long-time member of the Garner United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at Suburban Casuals in Beebe as a seamstress. She was a leader of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Blanche retired from food service as a restaurant manager. She also took care of the books for her husband’s construction business. In her spare time Blanche loved fishing, babysitting her grandkids, yard work, and spending time with her dog Marley. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter; Tammy Galloway (Tommy), one granddaughter; Jordan Elmgren (Ryan), two sisters; Jane Taylor and Lillie Howell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years; James Lawson, one grandson; Logan Galloway, seven brothers; Jim, Johnny Lee, Andrew, JS, Bud, Dewey, and George Sloan, two sisters; Sue Allen and Bessie Inman.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 15th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 16th in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Garner Cemetery.
