Bobbie Marie Mclaughlin, 78, of Kensett, died June 16, 2012. She was born April 17, 1934 in Swain, Arkansas to the late Garrett and Rentha Thomas Smith.
Mrs. Mclaughlin was a member of the Kensett House of Prayer. She was a vibrant woman, quick to share what was on her mind, but always there to care for her family. She loved music, cooking, and sewing as well as traveling near and far.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Harold Statler; one grandson, Douglas Statler; two great granddaughters, Lizzie Jane Vest and Rentha Renee Hart; three brothers, J.R., Clarence, and Bill Smith; four sisters, Lockey Sparks, Mildred Baker, Lucille Jordan, and Dorothy Smith.
Surviving Mrs. Mclaughlin is her loving husband of 48 years, Douglas Mclaughlin; one son, Tom Statler and wife Crystal; four daughters, Linda Sullivan and husband Buddy, Cindy Boldrey and husband Danny, Sheila Jasso and husband Martin, Tammy Crutchfield and husband Alfredo; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Kensett Cemetery.
