SFC. Carl Wesley Harbin, 59, of Judsonia, passed from this life February 21, 2012. He was born September 9, 1952 in Mountain Home to the late Joseph and Beulah Hastings Harbin.
Carl Wesley or Papa, as most referred to him by, was a proud Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam, and retiring after twenty-three years as a Sergeant First Class. He was the stronghold of his family but also very meek and kind. He loved all his family dearly, and adored his grandchildren. He also had a sense of humor that kept you on your toes at all times. The joy and laughter that this man brought about will never be forgotten, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harbin was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Joey Harbin; one sister, Edith Coots; and one grandson, Zachary Foster.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Carol Bargar Harbin; two daughters and their spouses, Melissa and Robert Block and Chastity and Chris Foster both of Judsonia; six grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Jordan, Amanda, Shelby, and Wesley; one sister, Lois Dacus and husband Lawrence of Searcy; a brother-in-law, Carl Coots; sister-in-law, Pam Southard; and nephew, Michael Paul Bargar.
The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 24 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Foster's Chapel Cemetery with full Military Honors.
