Charles "Charlie Boy" Smith

Charles Allen Smith, "Charlie Boy" age 80, of Searcy died September 27, 2012 at Searcy Healthcare. He was born September 24, 1932 in Searcy to the late Will and Fannie Mae Smith.

He retired from Koppers Inc. (Little Rock) and the City of Searcy Sanitation Department. He was a faithful member and steward of St. Mary C.M.E. Church in Searcy.

He loved passing time at Spring Park in Searcy, as well as going to Harding football and basketball games with his cousin Paula Cleveland.

He is rejoicing in heaven with his beautiful daughter, Wanda Sue Johnson. He is also preceded in death by a special aunt who raised him, Cleo Reynolds; step brother, Bradley Johnson; special cousins who were like brothers, Henry Clay Sr. and John "Ducie" Reynolds.

Those left to cherish his memory is a sister, Rebecca Tipton; special cousins Initia Shelton (who was like a sister) and Paula Cleveland, as well as a host of other cousins and friends.

Visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
