Cindy Pate Anglin, 57, of Judsonia, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010. She was born August 26, 1952, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Buford and Ermie Pate. She was the youngest of ten children. In 1974, she received her LPN from Cotton Boll Vo-Tech and in 1990 received her RN from the Baptist Medical School of Nursing. Her desire was to assist those with medical needs. Over three decades she was devoted to the caring and the comforting of her patients. She began her nursing career at the Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas. She later worked at Cleburne County Hospital, White County Memorial Hospital, and Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Steve Anglin. They were married on September 1, 1973, in Blytheville, Arkansas. During their life together, they raised two daughters Terri Chapman (Richard) and Lynn Baker and son Louis Anglin (Shaina), all of Judsonia. They were blessed with six grandchildren, Emily and Amelia Chapman of Judsonia, Nicole McCoy (Matt) of Judsonia, Michael Burriss of Knob Lick, Kentucky, and Stevie and Morgan Anglin of Judsonia. As the grandchildren were born, Meme, as they affectionately called her, rejoiced with the parents and dearly adored each of them. As a tribute to her grandchildren, she wrote, "You are like the flowers, you will bloom in my heart forever..Meme"
Other survivors include two sisters, Mary Smith(S.G.) of Hughes, Arkansas, Pearl Hughes (Doug) of Jordan, Arkansas and two brothers William Earl Pate (Arvell) of Gosnell, Arkansas and Buford Pate (Teresa) of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Buford and Ermie Pate; sister Eloise McGill; brothers Roy Edward Pate, Joseph (Bud) Pate, George Pate, and Arthur Pate.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 20 , 2010, from 6-8 P.M. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 21 ,2010, at 10 A.M. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy with Brother Chuck Hardy officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Arturo Zuloaga , Richard Chapman, Ryland Lauen, J.R. Hooton, Brady Ervin, and Matt McCoy. Michael Burris will serve as honorary pallbearer.
