Clifton Jeral Beals was born in Center Hill, White County, Arkansas on November 5, 1935, to Chris Lee Beals and Annie Mae (Webb) Beals. Mr. Beals has passed from this life in January 2022 at the age of 86.
Clifton and Hazel Sallie Dennis had their first date on January 5, 1959, and they eloped and were married on October 29, 1961. They had recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Clifton and his new bride began attending Garner Missionary Baptist Church the second Sunday after they were married and have continued for over 60 years. He has served as a Deacon there for over 40 years.
Clifton and Hazel were the parents of two sons, Steven Jeral Beals born November 29, 1962, and Randy DeWight Beals born November 19, 1965.
Clifton was a faithful employee of “The Plant” as it was referred to, for about 50 years. Throughout that time period, it changed names and ownership numerous times and even products they built, but Clifton stayed the course.
Clifton was a soft-spoken man. He was well respected by those that knew him. He was an honorable man. He was always there to extend help to someone in need, many times doing it secretly, but never wanted to be the recipient of help.
Clifton is survived by his wife Hazel, two sisters, Wanda Cooper of Searcy and Evelyn Jones of Texas, numerous other extended relatives, his church family, and a host of friends.
Clifton is preceded in death by his parents, both his sons, three brothers: Olan Beals, Eugene Beals, and Harold Beals, two sisters: Katie Mae Webb, and Jo Ann Green.
Graveside Service at Mount Pisgah Cemetery, White County, Arkansas, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 1:00 pm followed by burial next to his sons, and close by his parents.
