Donald Robert LaFantasie

Donald Robert LaFantasie, 86, was born to the late Phillip and Emma LaFantasie on October 17, 1926 in Danielson, Connecticut.
Don passed away on October 3, 2013 following a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty; one son, Dan LaFantasie (wife, Sandy); one daughter, Donna Kellar (husband, Stan); two grandchildren, Sam Osborne and Brooke Osborne Raley; and one great grandson, Rocco Raley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Don served his country as a Signalman in World War II. In his business life, Don was a salesman of insurance and school equipment.
He enjoyed camping, boating and waterskiing with his children and their friends, teaching many to ski. He later enjoyed the same with his grandchildren. Don and Betty loved adventure and traveled extensively.
Don was a long time member of West Race Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Race Baptist Church Building Fund.

Visitation will be at West Race Baptist Church on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
