Donald C. Miller

Donald Charles Miller, age 91, of Searcy Arkansas passed away on August 8^th 2023.  Mr. Miller was born on June 1^st 1932 in Clinton, Iowa to Jurgen H and Eva Matthews Miller.  He graduated from Clinton High School, Clinton, Iowa in 1950 and joined the U.S. Marine Corp.  After serving in the Marine Corp. he worked for Curtis Company (a door and window manufacturing company) and later for Eggers Industries in Neenah, Wisconsin (an institutional door manufacturing company).  He Married Lois Jean Lusk in 1953 and they had four wonderful children, Steven Richrd Miller, Daniel Charles Miller, Christine Ann Miller Kennedy, and Sandra Lee Miller Horne.  They have 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Upon retirement, in 1994, Don and Lois moved o Searcy Arkansas to be near Lois’s aging mother.  Don enjoyed motorcycling, golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, woodworking crafts, playing games, singing in the church choir and reading.  He enjoyed walking four miles a day until he recently cut it down to three miles a day.  He was a leader of Lutheran Braille Workers work center #103 for a number of years before transferring membership to St Paul Global Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. 

 Memorial service will be held at St Paul Global Methodist Church on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
