Donna Reed Young
July 3, 1957 – January 6, 2021
Our beloved Donna Reed Young, affectionately known as “Sweetie,” was born on July 3, 1957, to LaDonna Young Clay and the late David Lee Bowman. She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Jimmie Reed and Julian Sinclair Young Sr.
Our Heavenly Father saw fit to present Donna with her wings on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. “I have lived seemingly just a moment, and now my life is gone away, but o’ someday we’ll meet again, in a land that will lend a day.”
Donna accepted Christ at St Mary’s CME Church at an early age. Before her death, she faithfully attended the College Church of Christ. She was a 1975 graduate of Searcy High School. Donna loved her family, especially during football season when the Dallas Cowboys would slam the Pittsburg Steelers. Her bubbly personality would always bring laughter and joy to all who knew her.
We will miss her pre-birthday messages (at least three months early) where she reminded us every week “NOT” to forget her birthday present (money, of course).
Donna leaves to cherish her memory her birth mother, LaDonna Young Clay, sons, Bryant Reed Young, and Johnathan Sanders, Uncle Noel B. Young, Sisters, Lana Clay Williams, Paula Clay Cleveland, Aubla L. Clay, Verla Edwards (Terry) and Brothers, Bobby L. Young (Carolyn), Donaldson B. Young, Henry M. Clay Jr., Eric S. Clay, Bruce Bowman, and Brian Bowman. Special Friends, Kim Simmons (Paul) and Kim Mathis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
