Douglas O. Merritt

Douglas O. Merritt, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007. He was born to the late Taylor W. and Inez Beard Merritt. He owned and operated Merritt Equipment Company in Searcy and was a member of Higginson Methodist Church at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna Taylor of the home. Three sons, David and his wife Kathy, Steve and his wife Heidi, and Damon Merritt all of Searcy, a daughter, Kathy Graham and her husband Donald also of Searcy, one brother, William D. Merritt of Williamsburg, Virginia, three sisters, Betty Harris and Nancy Davis both of Searcy, Ann Merritt of Conway, He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Matthew Graham, Beverly Merritt, Tyler Merritt, Melissa Golden, Meredith Graham, Haley Merritt, Taylor Merritt, and Annalise Merritt, and one great-grandchild Aubrey and many friends.
