Edith Bargar Smith

Edith M. Bargar Smith, 75, of Searcy, died February 7, 2011. She was born September 11, 1935 in Kensett to the late Arthur and Syble Davidson Ausburn.

Mrs. Smith was a meat wrapper for Searcy Frozen Foods for many years and was a charter member of Chapel Lane Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Don Bargar; and a precious grandson, Zachary Foster.

Left to cherish her in memory are two daughters, Carol Harbin and husband Carl and Pamela Southard all of Judsonia; two brothers, Carl Gene Ausburn of Higginson and Dale Ausburn and wife Wendy of Maumelle; one sister, Ninia House of Searcy; three grandchildren, Melissa Block and husband Robert, Chastity Foster and husband Chris, and Michael Bargar and wife Ashley; eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Wesley, Jordan, Jared, Shelby, Braden, and Kaylie.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 11 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Bolin officiating.

Interment will follow in Fosters Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
