Elbert J. Winton, 88, of Little Rock, passed from this life Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born October 12, 1924 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Della Kennedy Winton.
Mr. Winton loved nature and outdoor hobbies including fishing, hunting, and camping. He retired from Phelps Fan Manufacturing after 37 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Light Winton; daughter, Joyce Mohler and infant children Elbert Winton Jr. and Donna Lynn Winton.
He is survived by one daughter, Jane Reynolds and husband Larry of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Frankie Reynolds, Cassie Nash, and Kimberly Lynn Teel; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Nash, Brittany Stinson, Elizabeth Reynolds, Jerri Ann Mohler, Matia Teel, and Timmy Jones; two brothers, Dan and Ronald Winton; two sisters, Helen Easley and Bettye Haberman
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 13 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Honey Hill Cemetery.
