Eldon Douglas Stracener

September 29, 1969 — November 8, 2022

On November 8, Eldon Douglas Stracener, 53, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident.  Born in Searcy, Arkansas on September 29, 1969, Doug was the son of Eldon and Mary Stracener.  He is preceded in death by his father, Eldon Stracener, and his older brother, Dennis Stracener.

Doug is survived by his former wife Brenda Rose Stracener and Daughter, Ashly.  He is also survived by his mother, Mary Stracener; sister, Paula Volpe (Joe), brother, Justin Stracener (April) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Doug was the owner of Action Garage Door.  He was a Navy veteran.  He earned his pilot’s license and was happiest when he was able to fly.  He was a hardworking man who loved helping others.  He was kind, quiet, and the ultimate peacemaker.  He is very much loved.  We will miss him.

Thursday, November 10, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Jacksonville Community Center in the Banquet Hall at 6 pm.

Because his brother was the recipient of a heart, organ donation was very important to Doug.  Despite this tragedy and our loss, he was able to donate organs that improved the lives of others.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your preferred charity in his name and sign up to be an organ donor.
