Ellen Blount

Ellen Marie (Mason) Blount, age 96 of Oak Creek, Wisconsin and previously of Canton, Ohio, Searcy, Arkansas, and Pontiac, Michigan went to her eternal destination being united with her loving Lord and Savior on October 17, 2024. Ellen was born in Canton, Ohio on July 21, 1928, to Levi P. Mason and Ethel V. (Scott) Mason, now deceased. She was married to Donald H. Blount for 62 years before his death. She was proud to be his faithful, loving wife and homemaker for all those years.

 She is survived by a son, Leslie Alan Blount and his wife, Lucinda McKim of Mosinee, WI; daughter, Linda Lee (Blount) Brown and her husband, David L. Brown of Oak Creek, WI. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. There are many cousins, nieces and nephews and loved ones she had remained in contact with, writing letters, phone calls and even texting until the last. She loved people and in turn was loved by many. Family was her joy of life as well as being involved in church no matter what city she lived. 

Funeral services are being cared for by Sunset Options of Oak Creek, WI and Searcy McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy, AR. 

The funeral was conducted on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 10550 S Howell Avenue, Oak Creek, WI with Dr. David Brown officiating. The family received friends at First Baptist Church at 5:00 pm until time of service. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 25th at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob, AR. 

A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their care in the final weeks and the staff at Elizabeth Residence in Oak Creek.
