Eloise Arick Moffatt

November 5, 1945 — September 16, 2023

Pangburn

Eloise Arick Moffatt, 77, of Pangburn, Arkansas passed from this earth on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Eloise was born on November 5, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Robert Bruce Arick, Sr and Mary Louise (Wicker) Arick.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Jeffrey Arick.

Eloise leaves her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Woods Moffatt, daughters Kelly Roberts and Lisa Wagner (Ben), grandchildren, Matthew Roberts, Elle, Eli, and Emelia Wagner, two brothers, Robert Arick (Sue) and Larry Arick (Kay), four nephews, two nieces, and her precious cousins.

In addition to her family, Eloise leaves many lifelong friends from Harding Academy, where she graduated in 1963, Wooddale, Highland, Martin, Union Avenue, and Germantown Churches of Christ where she and Mike have worshipped and the Harbor Town community in Memphis, Tennessee where they made their home for 26 years. She also leaves friends from their home on The Little Red River, affectionally referred to as Camp No Rest, and Pineview Church of Christ.

Eloise enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing mahjong. One of her favorite things was spending time with her grandson, Matt, and his friends. The boys spent many weekends with Eloise and Mike at their home, fishing, building bonfires and entertaining their Mamaw and Papaw. On Sundays, when the boys were visiting, they held outdoor church services. This brought Eloise so much joy.

In keeping with this tradition, a memorial service will be held on their front lawn, located at 180 Schmelzer Lane, Pangburn, Arkansas, on Tuesday, September 19th at 10:00 am. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

An additional service will be held Thursday, September 21st at Germantown Church of Christ.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am with service beginning at 11:00. We invite friends and family to join us to remember Eloise and celebrate the life she lived so well.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eloise’s honor may be made to Freed Hardeman University Advancement Office, 158 East Main Street, Henderson, Tennessee 38340
