Erma Lorene Barnum

Erma Lorene Barnum, 91, of Beebe passed away at Beebe Retirement Center in Beebe, Arkansas, Thursday, September 24th. She was born September 12, 1924 in Shirley, Arkansas to the late Preston and Lottie (Gibson) Eoff.

Erma was a faithful member of the Kensett Church of Christ. She enjoyed water aerobics at Harding University, gardening, and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed all her grandchildren and children at Kensett Elementary, where she worked for several years and was loved and respected for her shining example of Christian living, having a positive impact on the lives of many children and friends over the years showing kindness and understanding to all.

Erma is survived by two sons, Jimmy Barnum (Peggy) of Beebe, and Bobby Barnum (Martha) of Kensett; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnum was preceded in death by her husband, Dave of 45 years; two daughters, Helen Couch and Georgia Scott; one son, Billy Barnum; one brother, Vernon Eoff; and three sisters, Mamie Shull, Exie Bailey, and Lois Buchanan.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will start at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with interment at White County Memorial Gardens.
