Ervin Louis Barnett

Ervin Louis Barnett, 81 of Searcy, went to be with the Lord June 16, 2008. He was born September 2, 1926 in Floyd, Arkansas to the late Herman and Lera Barnett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two sisters, Lucille Stroud and infant sister, Ola Dean Barnett. He was retired from the Samuel Bingham Company, an avid gardener and small engine repairman. He was a loving and giving Christian who devoted his life to his family. Ervin was a member and attended the Downtown Church of Christ.

Mr. Barnett was survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Christine Stracener Barnett; six children, Patsy Oliver and husband Larry , Nancy Rollins and husband Cal, Danny Barnett and wife Katie, David Barnett and wife Beverly, Sherry Hunter and husband Norman, and Keith Barnett all of Searcy. He also leaves behind nine Grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren and two soon to be born, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17 from 6-8 PM at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be held at Downtown Church of Christ at 10 AM Wednesday June 18. Interment will be at Floyd Cemetery in Floyd, Arkansas.
