Faye C. Young

Faye C. Young, 88, of Searcy, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. She was born March 4, 1935 in Union City, Tennessee to the late Lexie Tucker Cloys and Moyte (Garrett) Cloys. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Searcy and attended faithfully until her health declined. She was an avid Razorbacks fan and loved cooking for her family. Faye was known as “Granny or Granny Faye” to many.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Michea Copus, Michael Young (Lindsay), Robert Young (Jane) and Leigh Garth (Brad); great-grandchildren, Rhea Bridges (Chas), Carley Nicholson, Reese and Liam Young, Jay and Jon Garth, and Jackson and Tegan Young; great-great-grandchildren, Kenlee and Thomas Bridges; a brother, Robert Knox (Judy); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Young; daughter, Jan Young Thatcher and son, Mike Young.

The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
