Florence Ann Cooper Vandiver, 84 of Searcy passed away Saturday, September 21st at White County Medical Center. She was born in Griffithville on November 5, 1928 to the late William B. Cooper and Lottie M. Walker Cooper.
She was a member of Foster's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She loved attending church and being with her friends. She loved her family dearly and cherished being with her children, and grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Vandiver; one son, Jerry Vandiver; two brothers, William and Walker Cooper; one sister, Edna Mae Cooper; one grandson, Brian Wayne Bonner and one great-great grandson, Sylas Hendrickson.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Bonner (Robert) of Searcy, Teresa Shewman (Billy) of Searcy and Becca Robinson (Leon) of Searcy; seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visiting hours are 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 25th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26th in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Welcome Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Foster's Chapel Building Fund.
