Henry Clentis Martin

Henry Clentis "Buzzy" Martin, 86 of Searcy, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Henry was born in Roosevelt, Arkansas on January 29, 1923 to the late William Henry and Minnie B. Martin also of Roosevelt. He was a WWII veteran and received a purple heart while serving in active front line military combat. He received four battle stars for his bravery while serving his country in the battles with France, Germany and Belgium. He was retired from the White County Road Department where he worked for twenty-five years. He was a member of Roosevelt Missionary Baptist Church for over forty-two years.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of sixty-two years, Sylva Lorene Martin; also, two twin daughters, Paulette and Pauline.

Henry is survived by two children, Bobby Joe Martin and his wife Wanda of Pleasant Plains and JoAnn (Ramsey) Arnold and her husband Jackie of Searcy; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and a host of many friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 12, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home of Searcy, AR.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2009 officiated by Bro. Paul Sowell and Bro. Dickie Sutter in the chapel of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home 2616 S. Main St. Searcy, AR. 72143

Interment will follow the service at Roosevelt Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in the Roosevelt Community
