Imerdene Tucker

Imerdene Tucker, 75, of McRae passed away Friday, February 20, 2009. She was born February 6, 1934 in Des-Arc to the late Charles Luther and Ruby Beatrice (Sisson) James. Mrs. Tucker was a member of McRae Pentecostal Church of God, she was Personality of the South, and an avid fisherman and softball player. She served as treasurer for Publicity Chairman of the P.T.A at Homer Adkins, and she was Hospitality Chairman in Junior High School. She was also Vice President of Directors of Jacksonville Boy's Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Otis Tucker, and a brother, Leslie "Bud" James.

She is survived by two sons; Jerry Taylor (Carol) of Benton and Randy Tucker (Denise) of Searcy, two daughters; Sharon Taylor of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Debra Forbes (Steve) of Williston, Tennessee, a sister; Ruby Kay Eastridge of West Pangburn, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 10:00 AM at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arkansas Memorial Garden in Jacksonville. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
