James Coleman, 63, of Bald Knob, died July 24, 2011 at White County Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born January 7, 1948 in Twist, Arkansas to Lois and Lena Baker Coleman.
Mr. Coleman worked for the Searcy Street Department. He was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed hunting, working on cars and mowing the lawn.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Helene D. Coleman; father, Lois Coleman, and one sister, Mary Jo Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Coleman of Judsonia; mother, Lena Bell Coleman of Harrisburg; sons, James Steven Coleman and wife Susan of Searcy, Bruce Coleman and wife Sarah of Bald Knob; brother, J.W. Coleman of Harrisburg; sister, Earline Harrison of Marion; grandchildren, Lindsey, Laura, and Lezly.
Visiting hours will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 26 at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, July 27 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Rosebud.
Interment will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
