James E. Davis

James Eldred Davis, 74 of Floyd died July 9, 2006. Born March 26, 1932 in White County, AR he was the son of the late Wilmot and Evelyn Bell Davis. Mr. Davis was a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict; a member of the V.F.W. Post in Beebe; and was a Master Gardener. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Hope Davis and Helen Gilliam.

Survivors include his wife, Lavelle McCollum Davis of Floyd; two sons, James K. Davis of Rose Bud; Rick Davis of Floyd; two brothers, Buddy Davis of Malvern; Gerald Davis of Cabot; two sisters, Lois Priest of Austin; Shirley Turner of Salem; two granddaughters, Felicia Davis of Greenbrier; Lauren Davis of Benton; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Antioch Cemetery.
