James Benjamin Evans, 74, of Cave City died, Tuesday, July 11th in Heber Springs. He was born January 12, 1943 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late James and Lola (Marlin) Evans.
James was a member of Kensett First Baptist Church. In Cave City, James attended the Cave City Church of God. James was a veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War. He served as the Past Master of Lodge 674 and as Past Patron of the Eastern Star. He volunteered at Unity Health Medical Center Auxiliary.
Surviving is his wife of 11 years, Ollie Evans; one stepdaughter, Mandy Brokaw of Heber Springs; brother, Charles Evans of Kensett; sister, Annabeth Whitehouse of Beebe; and two grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his first wife, DeAnn Evans.
Funeral services will be at 2:30pm, Friday, July 14th at Kensett First Baptist Church preceded by visitation at 1:30.
Burial will follow at Kensett Cemetery.
All services have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
