James Ellis Holt

James Ellis Holt, 72, of Searcy, passed from this life Thursday, May 2, 2013. He was born March 27, 1941 in Griffithville to the late Lester Holt and Sada Ellis Walden.

Mr. Holt was a member of Higginson Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family and multitude of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Edwin Walden; two wives, Joyce Faye Holt and Reba Holt; step son, Mark Riley; and one brother, Dennis Holt.

His memory will be cherished by one sister, Joy Minyard and husband Lee of Ft. Pierce, Florida; one son, James Steven Holt and wife Paula of Griffithville; one step son, Dwight Riley and wife Ginger of Judsonia; one daughter, Elaine Pence and husband Tony of Griffithville; one step daughter, Deena Gordon and husband Gary; eleven grandchildren, Christopher, Casey, Kyle, Kelli, Brian, Brandon, Greg, Courtney, Brittany, Garrison, and Madison; and six great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery near Griffithville.
