Jimmie Lee Brown

November 6, 1935 — January 12, 2009

Jimmie Lee Brown was born on November 6, 1935 to the union of Tommy Brown Sr. and Armenta (Washington) Brown in Augusta, Arkansas. He accepted Christ at an early age, united with Bethlehem Baptist Church , Revels, Arkansas and later joined St. Mary C.M.E. Church in Searcy, Arkansas.

He was employed with Polar Stainless Steel for many years and was a member of the United Auto Worker's Union. Jimmie loved growing vegetables however his biggest passion in life was automotive mechanics and his cars. Jimmie was most proud of being a papa, and he loved playing with his grand and great-grand kids.

Jimmie departed this life on January 12, 2009 after 73 blessed years. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James T. Brown and one sister, Luetrcia (Brown) Decker.

Jimmie is survived by his children, Pamela Scott, Elizabeth Farmer (Mitch), Leon Johnson (Tamera) and James Turner (Gloria); his brothers, Julius Denwittie, Willie James Denwittie, Tommy Brown, Jr. and Johnny B. Brown (Sandra); his sisters, Jacqueline Jones and Fanny Monday; his grandchildren, Stephanie Amos, Lana Dunn (Tim), Gloria Turner, James Turner II, Henry Turner, James L. Johnson and Bowman C. Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Allyssa Amos, Aaron Amos, Ashton Dunn and Olivia Dunn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 16, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home 2616 S. Main St., Searcy, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Sutton.

Interment will follow the service at White County Memorial Garden Cemetery.
