Juanita Faye Styers, 89, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was born July 25, 1935 in Webb, Oklahoma to Harold Vantassel and Margie Davis Vantassel. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Styers: 4 sisters, Nola Shafer, Ruby Starks, Viola Pennington, Wanell Vantassel; a brother, Robert Vantassel and infant sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Nita Taylor (Jimmy); 2 sons, Wayne Styers and Terry Styers (Susie); 7 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita had a heart of gold, always opening her arms to anyone in need. Her love for her family was boundless, and she truly believed there were no strangers - she’d give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. Family gatherings were her joy, especially when she could share her famous lemon ice-box pie and enjoy a fiercely competitive game of 10-9-8 with loved ones gathered around the table. She found peace in sewing, lost herself in old westerns, and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visit her back patio. Her warmth, kindness, and joy for life's simple pleasures left an imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Juanita’s life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery at a later date.
