Judy Lorraine Rhoades

Judy L. Rhoades, age 67, gained her angel wings on May 16, 2013 at White County Medical Center. She was born on May 31, 1945, the youngest of four daughters to the late Vern and Wilda Vandiver in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

At an early age, they moved to Chugwater, Wyoming. After graduating from high school, she moved to Laramie, Wyoming to attend Beauty School. While attending Beauty School, she met and married Bobby Jackson in December of 1964. From this union, there were four children; Vernon Fay, Gerald, Shonna and Linda. After her divorce in December of 1976, she moved to California. She later moved to Arkansas where she met and married her soul mate Billy Rhoades.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Jackson (Ronda) of Laramie, Wyoming; two daughters, Shonna Ahrenholtz of Laramie, Wyoming, and Linda Jackson of Searcy, Arkansas; seven grandkids, Chantel Thwreatt, Tianna Dominguez (Mike), Rebecca Harris (Andrew), Shelby Jackson, Craig Jackson, Joseph Ahrenholtz, Jaykob Ahrenholtz; three sisters, Vernita Lewis, Inez DeVeny (Delmar), Dorothy Vogt (Darrell).

In addition to her parents, Vern and Wilda Vandiver, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy; son, Vernon Fay; grandson Michael; two nieces, one nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on June 2nd at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. on June 3rd at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Internment will be at Howell Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
