Julia Diane Abbott

Julia “Diane” Abbott, 62, of Searcy passed away Friday, September 13th at Unity Health Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1957 in Merced, California to D.L. and Mary Southerland.

Diane was a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy. She worked as a nurse for 40 years. She was a fun-loving person who loved to travel, color, and craft. She was very loving, kind, and compassionate. Diane cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 40 years, John Abbott; one son, Lucas Abbott; two daughters, Holly Abbott and Samantha Huffman (James); and four grandchildren, Eric Snowden, Draven Danner, Devin Reed and Trenton Reed; and her mother, Mary Southerland all of Searcy; one brother, Scott Southerland (Christy) of Michigan; and one sister, Sharon Long (Audie) of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, D.L. Southerland.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, September 17th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

All Cremation services have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
