Katie Jane Langford

Katie Jane (Ghent) Langford, 86, of Searcy, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Searcy. She was born October 12, 1935 in Searcy to the late Shelby Thomas and Annie (Brown) Ghent. Katie was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She married the love of her life Miles Langford on November 21, 1956 and they spent 54 years together before he passed in 2010. Katie was a long-time member of the West Race Baptist Church having faithfully served for 69 years.

She is survived by her son, Danny Langford and wife Cathy; grandsons, Devin Langford and Drew Langford (Emily); great-grandchildren, Adler and Adeline Langford; sister, Dixie Ghent Freeling (Flynn); sisters-in-law, Maxine Boggs and Jane Von Boeckman; as well as her friends, family and church family that she dearly loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Miles Langford; and two sisters, Willo Dean Windsor and Peggy Ghent Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the West Race Baptist Church in Searcy with services to begin promptly at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Chad Brandon will officiate.
