Larry Edwin Glover, 80, of Higginson, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024. He was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on September 28, 1944 to Albert Glover and Melba Hicks Glover Maloy. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald Eaton and John Glover.
Larry’s career was spent driving a truck for Land O’ Frost after he retired from there he worked at the White County Sheriffs Department and later at the water treatment facility in Higginson. He was also a Higginson City Councilman for 22 years and a member of Higginson First Baptist Church. Larry was a hard worker and never missed a day of work. Larry was an amazing father and husband who loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Imogene Glover; daughters, Vicky Williams of Claremont, NC and Tonya Johnson of Hickory, NC; son, Larry Glover of Hickory, NC; step-son, Jim Putt (Sissy) of Cabot, AR; grandchildren, Daniel Miller, Haley Coulter, Joshua Johnson, Zachary Glover all of Hickory, NC, Randall Miller, Joel Putt, Bridget Putt and Jenna Rambo all of Cabot, AR; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service. Burial will be at Glover Cemetery, Lonoke, AR. Arrangements by Searcy McEuen Funeral Home, www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
