Lelon Gilmer

Lelon Gilmer, 81, of Mount Vernon died December 18th, 2011 at White County Medical Center. He was born May 20th, 1938 in Lafayette County Mississippi to the late George and Mary Terry Gilmer.

He was a Korean War Veteran, and worked as a meatcutter for many years. When he wasn't working he could be seen in his recliner watching sports.

He is survived by his wife; Mildred Gilmer of Mount Vernon, his son; Larry Wilson and wife Mary of Mount Vernon, three brothers; Therrel Gilmer of Arlington TX, Harold Gilmer of Colt, AR, and Bobby Gilmer of Wynne, AR, two sisters; Mary Lynn Busby and Linda Cosgrove both of West Memphis, AR, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild.

Cremation services were provided by Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
