Lura Ethel Jackson Bailey

Lura Ethel Jackson Bailey, 92 of Griffithville, AR passed away January 29, 2007 at White County Medical Center in Searcy. She was born November 10, 1914 in Bogan Chapel, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Dempsey Jackson and Hattie Gee (Lewis) Jackson; her husband, Russel "Duke" Bailey; three brothers, Lewis, Bill and Russ Jackson; and a sister, Vera LaFerney. She was a diligent, faithful and lifelong member of the Griffithville Church of Christ. She was very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Bailey of Griffithville and Daryl Bailey and his wife, Ricki of Little Rock; a sister, Violet "Vi" Christal of Griffithville; two grandchildren, Ashley Whitlow and her husband, Jeff of Little Rock and Whitney Bailey of Memphis; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Noah Whitlow of Little Rock. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Griffithville Church of Christ or the Dogwood Cemetery Fund.
