Lyndon Bryant Pillow
April 4, 1961 – February 10, 2025
Lyndon Bryant Pillow, 63, of Judsonia, went home to be with Jesus on February 10, 2025 at UAMS hospital after an eight year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He gave it all he had and the cancer may think it won the battle but Jesus was waiting in heaven with open arms, so Lyndon won the war. Lyndon was born in Rockford, Illinois on April 4, 1961, the second son of Vance Landon and Nina Laura (Lamb) Pillow.
Lyndon was an industrial maintenance electrician by trade but he was much more than that. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law, friend and beloved “Grampy”.
He obtained his GED while serving in the United States Army. After giving three years of service, he went back to school and earned his diploma in Industrial Equipment Technology at Gateway Vocational Technical School in Batesville where he was named Student of the Year in 1987-88. He was a very hard worker and provided well for his family over the years. If he learned of the company for which he was working was planning to close or move, he did not wait to be laid off, he was out there looking for another job.
Lyndon loved to hunt and fish in his younger days. However, after he married and had a family, he preferred to stay home with them. He would go fishing if some of his family went with him. His garden was his pride and joy after he became “Grampy”. Many hours were spent playing in the yard and working in the garden with Penny. He was looking forward to passing his love of nature on to all of his grandchildren.
On January 18, 1992, Lyndon married the love of his life, Beatrice Annette Castor in the Eastside Baptist Church in Cave City, Arkansas. When Annette asked him about her getting a job outside of the home, he very quickly told her that he would provide for the family. Soon they were the parents of four wonderful children.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Beatrice Annette (Castor) Pillow of Judsonia; three sons; Andrew B. Pillow and his wife, Elizabeth, of Batesville, Arkansas; Dale L. Pillow of Lonoke, Arkansas; and Craig L. Pillow of Judsonia, Arkansas; one daughter, Megan L. Alderson and her husband Tyler of Searcy, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Penelope “Penny” M. Pillow of Batesville, and two grandsons; Andrew “Andy” B. Pillow, Jr. and Theodore “Teddy” A. Pillow of Batesville. His family is still growing with the unborn twins of Megan and Tyler of which he was looking forward to meet.
Lyndon is also survived by his mother, Nina L. Pillow of Cave City, Arkansas; three brothers, Lesley A. Pillow and wife Lisa of Paragould, Arkansas; Jeffrey L. Pillow; and Lance O. Pillow and wife, Michelle of Black Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Alyce G. Bibbs of Cave City, Arkansas and Patricia J. Cappola and husband, Phil, of Johnstown, Colorado. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Lyndon was preceded in death by his father, Vance L. Pillow as well as his paternal grandparents, Elvis Clinton Pillow and Opal Oreen (Bryant) Pillow and his maternal grandparents, Harry Thomas Lamb and Eula Nile (Marshall) Lamb.
