Mary Prudence Laymon, 87, of Greenbrier passed away Tuesday, February 10th. She was born February 16, 1927 in Oklahoma to the late Corbit and Beulah Branscum.
Prudence loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be remembered by her family for her dedication to them and to Christ. She loved cooking, canning, and growing a garden.
Prudence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years, Ulis Laymon; three sons, Mark Laymon (Sherry) of Hot Springs, Matt Laymon (Pam) of Greenbrier and Scotty Laymon (Marie) of Greenbrier; one daughter, Eva Smithson (Ellis) of Greenbrier; two sisters, Barbara and Fanny; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Prudence was preceded in death by one daughter, Louise Decker; two brothers, Bill and Mike; and three sisters, Roberta, Aretha, and Rose.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with interment following at Old Union Cemetery.
