Mattie Grace Turman

Mattie Grace Turman, 82, of Searcy went home to be with her Lord, Friday, July 8th at 11:24 PM at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born April 7, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late E.W. and Elsie (Payne) Sloan.

Grace, as she was known, was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship Church where she played the piano, led the Ladies Auxiliary and helped her husband in the ministry for over 60 years.
She was the valedictorian of her graduating class, held a Master's Degree and was a true Proverbs 31 wife and mother. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, God-mother and great example to all.

Grace is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert O. Turman of Searcy; two sons, Robert Stephen Turman and his wife Suzanne of Palm Springs, California and Paul Turman and wife Cathy of Searcy, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many adopted kids, grandkids and great grandkids that she was a Mother to.
We are blessed to have had her in our lives!

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, July 17th at Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship Church.
All Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
