Michael Devon Whitener

Michael Devon Whitener, 59, of Pangburn, died March 3, 2013 at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock. He was born July 16, 1953 to the late Clayton and Lonella Altom Whitener.

Mr. Whitener was a self employed carpenter and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Whitener Jr. and wife Chasity of Wichita, Kansas and Shannon Whitener and wife Tiffany of Holly Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Shenella Whitener of Pangburn; six grandchildren, Michael Whitener III, Erika Whitener, Elisha Whitener, Alexis Whitener, Aiden Whitener and Hali Whitener; two sisters, Brenda Greer of Searcy and Bonnie Hardcastle of Pangburn.

Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Grove Cemetery near the McJester Community.
