Nancy Joan Myers breathed deeply and her heart beat sure and steady as she was welcomed into the presence of her faithful Savior Jesus Christ on November 19, 2024. She was born on May 27, 1940 in Grand Rapids MI to Henry and Stella Flokstra. On October 29, 1959, she married Kenneth Myers Sr., and they have delighted in each other and the blessings of the Lord for 65 years.
Nancy graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School. She won Ken’s heart serving the best cherry cokes from the cafeteria at Meijer Thrifty Acres. In 1966, Ken and Nancy opened the Pizza-Tronic in Sparta MI. Over many years, Nancy used her love of sewing to bless many family members with clothes and beloved quilts. Nancy taught her children by example to study God’s Word and demonstrated a heart to serve the Lord. She continued to speak God’s Word into the lives of her children and their spouses, and blessed them immensely with Spirit-filled wisdom. Her children carry on her legacy of living the Word by knowing the Word. Together with Ken, Nancy had a burden for the persecuted church around the world and devoted themselves to the ministry of The Voice of the Martyrs. Nancy treasured her family relationships, staying in contact with her cousins, and welcoming a few of the cousins to our holiday table. Nancy also treasured her spiritual family. In 1985, through relationships formed on mission trips to Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, Ken and Nancy attended their first Family Camp at Mt. Zion Church in Searcy AR. In the years since, they have attended nearly every annual Family Camp.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth Myers Sr.; son Kenneth Jr. (Kerisa), Grand Rapids MI; daughter Lynnae (Bryan) Hicks, Searcy AR; daughter Renae Doyle, Converse IN; and daughter-in-law Janna Myers, Searcy AR. Nancy is also survived by 8 grandsons – Micah Hicks, Ryan Hicks, Evan Doyle, Zachary Hicks, Brendan Doyle, Weston Doyle, Aaron Hicks, and Ronnie Myers – 6 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters (finally!).
Preceding her in death and part of her great cloud of witnesses were an infant daughter, Renee Lynn Myers; son, Brian Myers; son-in-law, Kelly Doyle; parents Henry and Stella Flokstra; father-in-law, Howard Myers; mother-in-law, Gertrude Housler; brother, Willis Flokstra; sister-in-law, Marian Flokstra; and her stillborn great-grandson, Owen Parker Doyle.
The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to Arkansas Hospice and the staff who cared for Nancy. We have been truly blessed by your care and generosity.

Nancy had a very frugal approach to everything after death. She asks that you don’t send flowers, but instead donate to a charity that was dear to her: The Voice of the Martyrs – Bibles for the Persecuted (www.persecution.com/bibles/), Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship Church, 285 Morris School Rd, Searcy AR 72143, or Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock AR 72116.
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1
