Nancy Stumbaugh, 65, of Searcy died October 11th. She claimed her Heavenly body, free from the pain and suffering of rheumatoid arthritis. Nancy was born to Curtis and Vonnie Oliver on May 11, 1945. She was the baby of five children (Mary Ruth, George, John and Martha).
Nancy leaves behind her devoted husband of 21 years, Gene Stumbaugh, who was a kind and loving soul mate until the end. Nancy is also survived by her two children: Sherri Strayhorn-Rowell (Dan) of Beebe and William Wallace (Julie) of Charlotte, TN and step-sons: Greg of Garfield and Glen of Rogers. She was blessed with five grandchildren whom she loved deeply: Logan Wallace of Raleigh, NC; Eric Rowell, Sydney Rowell, & Mason Strayhorn of Beebe; Jim and Olivia Wallace of Charlotte, TN and a step-grandson, Jeremy, of Rogers.
"Miss Nancy", as she was known by many, worked for the Beebe Public School District for approximately 12 years as secretary. She deeply loved her church family at the River of Life in Judsonia. Nancy's passion and calling in life was the countless animals she rescued and loved. For this reason, the family is asking that no flowers be delivered to the home, funeral home, or church. Instead, donations to the Humane Society of Searcy, PO Box 8242, Searcy AR 72145 will be welcomed.
Visitation will be at the River of Life Church (exit 48 north of Searcy) on Thursday, October 14th from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday at the church.
