Phil Reddiex

Phil "Biggie" Reddiex, 51, of Searcy, AR. formally of New Orleans, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his home. He was born June 29, 1957 to the late Aaron Butler and Yvonne Barsock Reddie., Mr. Reddiex relocated here after Hurricane Katrina, falling in love with Searcy and especially the staff and tenants of the Meadow Lake Apartments.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gaynell Connerly, and two brothers; Harold Tyron Reddiex and Edward "Red" Reddiex.
Mr. Reddiex is survived by his living partner; Lisa Augustine, two sons; Phil Simmons and Corey Reddiex, both of New Orleans, LA, three daughters; Tamara Reddiex and Angela Simmons, both of New Orleans, LA, and Shimere Lee of Greensboro, AL, two sisters; Yvonne Butler of New Orleans, LA and Glen Thomas of Slidell, LA, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at Rhodes Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA at a date to be determined.
