Robert Bevill

Robert A. Bevill, 78, of Searcy, passed from this life September 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1934 in Griffithville to the late Robert and Lenis Cole Bevill.

Mr. Bevill was a member of First Baptist Church of Searcy. He was a music director in past years at various churches across the country including Mesquite, Texas and Goodlettsville, Tennessee. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing, but cherished his time with the family and grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Pattie Bolding; and six sisters, Eva Baugh, Martha Williams, Geneva Dodson, Marie Harrelson, Mart Bevill, and Dorothy Eby.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Gentry Bevill; one son, Wayne Riddle; three daughters, Teri Garrison and husband Stephen, Pat Jousan and husband Ralph, and Wendy Campbell; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Lou Reames, Jean Eales, Irene Swann, Agnes Blackburn, and Faye Seimes.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, at First Baptist Church in Searcy. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
